More than just a listening ear, I’m here to help you discover a new perspective, identify the source of the challenges you’re facing, and equip you with the resources you need to overcome. Beyond developing a healthier mind, we’ll assess your overall wellbeing, including physical and emotional wellness. Together, we can work towards a healthier, happier you.

Individual and Family Counseling

Treatment specialization includes:

  • Therapy for grief and traumatic grief
  • Counseling for children and teens with a down-to-Earth approach
  • Family coaching for dealing with a difficult family member
  • Parenting support
  • Therapy for anxiety and panic
  • Work and career issues
  • Mood management
  • Therapy for inner peace when you live with chronic physical pain
  • Therapy for Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (a.k.a. OCD), such as hair pulling, skin picking, etc.

I work with people who have a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues, providing services that span from therapy for depression and grief counseling to parenting support, and beyond.  I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and also can incorporate more innovative techniques, such as EMDR and EFT into counseling sessions.  In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients' individual needs to help them reach the personal growth they’re striving for.

Counseling Services for Children

I also provide play therapy techniques and art therapy tools in sessions with children and occasionally with teens.  Play therapy tools include sandtray and sand play, therapeutic board games, and other toys and art supplies familiar to kids. This makes therapy with children more effective by creating a friendly environment, teaching coping skills, and developing affect management.

Usually, counseling with children starts with an intake appointment with a parent or parents in order to gather a thorough developmental history, discuss parents' concerns and questions openly, and give them a chance to make sure that the therapist is a good fit for their child.  If a child lives in two households (as in a divorce), I welcome both parents to attend an intake session, communicate with me regularly, and take turns bringing their child to appointments.

After that, family or individual sessions with children or teens will follow, focusing on your child's healing and goals so they can enjoy life and have increased resiliency.
