About Jessica A Carlson, MA, NCC, LMHC

My name is Jessica Carlson, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Board Certified Counselor, specializing in individual and family therapy, with a private practice in Winter Springs, FL.

With over 14 years experience as a psychotherapist, and as a graduate of The University of Michigan and Oakland University specializing in Sociology and Counseling, I am currently serving as a private practitioner working with children, teens, and adults. I have a few areas of expertise, and among them are treating traumatic grief, anxiety disorders, panic attacks, and emotional challenges associated with living with chronic pain.

In addition to being a prominent child and individual therapist, I have presented at local conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of Grief and Loss, Trauma in Children, Play therapy tools and EMDR with Children, Starting and Maintaining a Successful Private Practice, and Stress Management without Stressing Out.

I make it a point to be an interactive, solution-focused therapist, and my therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I also integrate complementary methodologies and techniques (such as EMDR and EFT) to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their own strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
